Can anyone's gumbo be better than ya mama's? A few upstarts in Iberia Parish may think so at this annual World Championship Gumbo Cookoff, held in Bouligny Plaza. The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce will host the festivities, which will feature music, family fun, and plenty of food. Over 100 teams will make gumbos across five categories: amateur chicken and sausage, amateur seafood, amateur mélange, professional seafood, and professional non-seafood.
