Haints, Haunts, and Halloween 2026
Halloween just like great-great-grandma used to make. Well … there might be more candy
The LSU Rural Life Museum's annual "Haints, Haunts, and Halloween" event honors the sights, sounds, and activities of an old-fashioned, family-friendly, country Halloween. Presented in the charming style of a historic country fair, the museum's grounds fill with fun fall stuff: storytelling, cake walks, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, traditional fair games, and the timeless art of trick-or-treating, all there for kids to discover. Costumes encouraged, of course. 2 pm–4:30 pm at 4560 Essen Lane. $12 adults; $6 for ages 4–12; free for ages 3 and younger. lsu.edu/rurallife.
