"Haiti Louisiana–Tides of Freedom" at the Nous Foundation

The Nous Foundation invites viewers to embark on a cultural voyage in their new exhibit Haiti Louisiana–Tides of Freedom, featuring thirty artworks from the Jacques Bartoli Collection of Contemporary Haitian Art, loaned by the Haitian Resource Development Foundation in Miami. Additionally, the exhibit features original commissions from eight Haitian and Louisiana artists, curated by Max Jean-Louis, exploring the shared colonial legacy, cultural practices, and contemporary challenges such as inequality and climate change that connect Haiti and Louisiana. Produced in collaboration with the Haitian Resource Development Foundation, this exhibition is a celebration of shared heritage, creativity, and resilience.
