Halloween Opera Ball
The City Club will be the scene for haunting music and masquerading music lovers when Opéra Louisiana hosts its Halloween Opera Ball. Verdi’s opera Macbeth provides the inspiration for this spooky night of music, dancing, spirits, and treats of all sorts, with guest artist soprano Cassandra Black channeling the scheming Lady Macbeth. The Opéra Louisiane Resident Artist Quartet will summon witches from Verdi’s chilling opera. The night will be hosted by Artistic Director Michael Borowitz and music provided by the Opéra Louisiane Instrumental Quartet. Guests are urged to conjure up their creative side when choosing their attire; costumes are encouraged and black-tie is optional. 6:30 pm–9:30 pm at 355 North Boulevard. $150–$275. operalouisiane.com.
