Harvest Days is the LSU Rural Life Museum long-running fall festival that provides a glimpse into what life on the farm would have looked, sounded, and felt like in nineteenth-century rural Louisiana. Living history demonstrations always include plowing, blacksmithing, soap and candle making, timber framing, open hearth cooking, sheep herding, and boat making, as well as folk music and dancing. 9 am–4:30 pm on the grounds of the LSU Rural Life Museum, 4560 Essen Lane. $12 for ages 12+, $10 for ages 4–11, free for ages 0–3. lsu.edu/rurallife.
