Into the Greenhouse

Kelwood Contemporary Art presents Into the Greenhouse, a solo exhibition featuring the vibrant, abstract floral paintings of Amanda Farris. The exhibition invites viewers into an immersive exploration of our relationship with nature, growth, and the spaces we create to nurture and contain them. With its saturated palette, layered textures, and bold interpretations of botanical forms, Into the Greenhouse offers viewers an opportunity to experience the natural landscape through Farris’s distinctive visual language. The exhibition considers the greenhouse as both a physical space and a metaphor—a place where nature is cultivated, protected, transformed, and allowed to flourish.

The public is invited to an opening night reception at the gallery (8202 Kelwood Avenue, Baton Rouge) on Saturday, October 3, from 5 pm–8 pm. Gallery hours are Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from noon–5 pm. Special Saturday hours will be offered on October 10 and 17 from noon–5 pm.
