Intro to Chair Seat Weaving

Many of us enjoy being seated, and here's your chance to to put your money where your posterior would like to be. Join artisan Jo Rusin at The Arts Hancock County for a four- to five-week course (last session is optional) that will walk you through recaning the seat of a chair or stool. Students will learn how to weave traditional laced cane and a splint chair seat, as well as how to restore a loom woven/pressed cane seat.
