Acadiana Brown Cotton, or "coton jaune," is an important totem of Acadian history and culture. The "Brown Cotton Man" himself, Breaux Bridge local Jerry Hale, will facilitate a discussion about the historic crop, with the goal of encouraging the continuation of the traditions associated with it, such as local agriculture and hand spinning and weaving. $5 admission supports the TCA's mission to "provide and present educational Cajun and Creole cultural and historical experiences to the people of Saint Martin Parish," and all ages are invited to attend. 4 pm.
