Kelly & Ellis, due to perform at Red Dragon Listening Room this evening, are seasoned veterans of musical showbiz. Leslie Ellis cut her teeth starring in CATS on Broadway. She went on to sing demos for Barbra Streisand, Faith Hill, and Toni Braxton for Sony, and won a Grammy with Celine Dion for "My Heart Will Go On." Casey Kelly was a staff writer at the Brill Building. He nearly joined Three Dog Night and The Flying Burrito Brothers, and toured with Loggins & Messina, The Beach Boys, and BB King; and wrote the hits "Anyone Who Isn’t Me Tonight" and "The Cowboy Rides Away"―a signature hit for George Strait―and scored a string of Grammy nominations.
