"Shots Fired," a new dance program performed by the Acadiana-based Kabuki Dancers, aims to educate today's youth on the impact of gun violence in America, demonstrating ways to channel anger, frustration, and other negative emotions into self-expression through art and creativity. The program portrays a conflict and resolution scenario that includes skits acted out through dance, spoken word, and live drums. Kabuki dancers have performed at Jazz Fest, the Apollo Theatre NYC, and in the 2013 Super Bowl half-time show, and you can catch them next at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge inside Winbourne Elementary. 4:15 pm.
