Krewe of Southdowns Pay-to-Ride Float

Ever wondered what it would be like to experience a Mardi Gras parade from the float side of things, throwing beads to the revelers down below? Baton Rouge's Krewe of Southdowns is inviting individuals and families interested to apply to ride on their pay-to-ride float when the parade rolls through Baton Rouge on February 17. This year's float theme is "Fêtes de Louisiane," and riders are encouraged to wear costumes, though they are not mandatory. The professionally-built light-up float in festive décor includes a bathroom on-board. Riders must supply their own throws and refreshments. $150 per rider.
