Library Lecture: The King's Daughters

Clifford Normand will present a lecture at the Bluebonnet Branch Library this Saturday morning on the history of The King's Daughters, a program sponsored by King Louis XIV to recruit young French ladies to move to Quebec, Canada in the late 1660s. Normand, a descendant of four fo these ladies, will discuss the lives of his ancestors, including the story of how one ended up moving to Louisiana, with three daughters. 10 am. Free. (225) 925-8921.
