Louisiana Book Festival WordShops

Preceding the Louisiana Book Festival are an exciting slate of writing workshops, led this year by authors Julie Kane, Michele Filgate, Kionna Walker LeMalle, and Jesse Byrd. The award-winning and bestselling authors will lead half-day writing "WordShops" on a variety of topics. Here's what to expect: 

9 am–noon: Does Your Writing Smell? The Power of "The Fifth Sense" presented by Julie Kane and Building a Writing Career presented by Michele Filgate.

1 pm–4 pm: The Great Character Surrender presented by Kionna Walker LeMalle and Selling Your Story: Strategies from a Top-Selling Literary Agent presented by Jesse Byrd.
