Louisiana Crawfish Boil Championships

For twenty-three years now, Louisianans have clambered over one another to prove themselves as the best crawfish boiler in the state at the annual Crawfish Boil Championships, held at the Immaculate Conception School in Marrero. The event is sanctioned by the State of Louisiana as the official competition for boiling, and this year it's looking like over sixty teams will be heating up their pots to serve an estimated 40,000 pounds of mudbugs. A $30 ($18 for students) wristband gets you all the crawfish you can eat, with options to purchase other food, beer, and refreshments onsite. Ticket prices will go up day-of.
