Lace up your sneakers and join more than 500 participants and volunteers for the 12th annual Louisiana Walks for Parkinson’s at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. LA Walks supports the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s. Explore other offerings, like a kid's corner, donated food and drinks from local companies, prize draws, and live music. Resources will also be available for folks with Parkinson's and their loved ones. Registration opens at 9 am; walk at 11 am. $35 for adults who register before October 1, $35 after; free for children 12 and under. parkinsonswalk.org.
