March for Kids at the Terrebonne Parish Library
Terrebonne Parish Library 151 Library Drive, Houma, Louisiana
The Terrebonne Parish Library System strives to develop an impressive slate of engaging, challenging, and fun activities for kids, with activities ranging from lessons on coding to Pokemon battles. Here are a few of our favorites at the Main Library this month:
- Every Wednesday, Sensory Story Time: This special program is designed especially for children ages 3–7 who experience sensory integration challenges or have difficulty sitting still—engaging them through movement, music, stories, and play. Registration required. 4–5 pm & 6–7 pm.
- March 2, Dr Suess' s Birthday Party: Special story time, crafts, and treats celebrating one of our favorite writers. 3 pm–4 pm.
- March 6, 8, 20, & 22, Pokemon Gym: Meet other Pokemon fans to build decks, trade, and battle. 4–5 pm.
- March 10, Escape the Library: Work together as a team to solve clues and unlock the mystery before time runs out. 4th grade and up. Registration required. 3–4 pm.
- March 23, MoboRobo: Robots on the go! Robots Lab: Use Cubelet robots to build your own robos, complete special robotic challenges, and more. Pre-K and up. Registration required. 11 am–noon.
There's plenty more great events to be had, from storytimes to crafts to yoga. Visit mytpl.org for the full Terrebonne Parish Library System Schedule.
