Have your king cake and burn it off, too, by lacing up in time for the annual Mardi Gras Mambo. Runners can choose 10k, 15k or 1-mile fun run courses that take them through some of the most picturesque bits of downtown Baton Rouge, City Park, and the LSU Lakes. Race-day central will be on North Boulevard at Town Square. 1-Mile Fun Run begins at 8 am; 10K and 15K begin at 8:30 am. runmambo.com.
