Matthew Whitaker at the ACA

Since beginning to play keyboard at the age of three, virtuoso jazz pianist Matthew Whitaker Whitaker has never let his lack of eyesight hinder his talents, quickly rose in the ranks of musicianship to become, at fifteen, the youngest pianist to be named a Yamaha Artist. Now eighteen years old and a veteran performer who has played alongside the likes of Ray Chew, Christian McBride, Rhoda Scott, and The New York Pops Orchestra, Whitaker will lend his talents to the Acadian Center for the Arts stage for a one-of-a-kind performance this month.
