Mini Matchbox Shrines

In this hands-on Mini Matchbox Shrine workshop, students will transform simple and recycled materials into dimensional, hand-decorated keepsakes inspired by the traditional Mexican nicho shrine, using photographs, words, symbols, found imagery, and personal mementos to create one-of-a-kind shrines honoring a memory, person, sacred figure, sentiment, or intention. Most materials are provided. Students are encouraged, but not required, to bring copies of photographs, small written messages, tiny keepsakes, or other meaningful items they may want to incorporate into their work. 17+. 11 am–2:30 pm at 405 Blaize Avenue, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. $10 paid to instructor day of class.
