The Arts, Hancock County January Offerings

The Arts, Hancock County offers a number of art classes for the month of January. These include the following:

• January 3: Beginner Drawing–Learning To See!—Dive into an immersive drawing experience to learn contour drawing techniques from Kimon Nicolaides. Students will also explore blind contour drawing, embracing Frederick Franck's philosophy of mindful seeing. Noon–3 pm.
• January 10: Necktie Chair Weaving Workshop—Learn how to turn a chair into function and colorful art with neckties and a bit of patience. Bring a well-loved and worn chair and a bundle of ties for this weaving workshop. Noon–3 pm. 
• January 17: Neurographic Drawing Workshop—In this rejuvenating course, take part in neurographic drawing and watercolor painting, developing linework, gentle watercolor techniques, and simple practices for reducing stress and supporting focus. 9:30 am–12:30 pm.
