The subject matter of the Jeanerette Museum's history talk this month is New Acadia; that is, the effort to find the first settlement of the Acadians in Louisiana. Professor Mark Rees of UL-Lafayette will update participants on new developments and insights unearthed by the New Acadia team, particularly relevant during archaeology month.
