"New Americans in a New Land"
Presented by the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience and hosted by St. Charles Parish Library, the exhibition New Americans in a New Land explores the experiences of Dr. Joseph Sperling and his wife Anni Frind, who survived the Holocaust and rebuilt their lives in New Orleans. The exhibition includes artifacts, such as Sterling's concentration camp jacket and armband, the steamer trunk that carried the family's possessions from Europe to New Orleans, and photographs of their New Orleans life. St. Charles Parish Library is also hosting a parallel exhibition, Americans and the Holocaust. msje.org.
