Ogden After Hours: Cha Wa

An icon of New Orleans street culture, Cha Wa is an eclectic cross between Big Easy brass band and Mardi Gras Indian outfit. Their album "Spyboy"—a modern mix of fiery, toe tapping sounds was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Regional Roots Music Album" category. The band has been described as "a grand gumbo of singing, intoxicating rhythms and deep funk grooves that are impossible to resist." Cha Wa will perform as part of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art's After Hours Programming from 6 pm–8 pm. $13.50; $11 for students, teachers, and military; free for members. ogdenmuseum.org.
