Ogden Park Prowl
Catch your crafts and entertainment fresh and hyper-local on this neighborhood prowl
Ogden Park Neighborhood 3145 Government Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
A delightfully eclectic neighborhood, rumored to once—if not still—have a resident chicken wandering the streets, will be holding its annual neighborhood block-party-of-sorts; though at this party, called the Ogden Park Prowl, everyone is invited! This neighborhood arts festival will feature artists who live in Ogden Park as well as other Mid City artists showing and selling their wares from one block to the next. Those with nothing to show or sell will host—in their homes and on their lawns—artists and performers from outside the neighborhood. Expect to meet sculptors, painters, chefs, illustrators, musicians, jewelers, and many more creative types. There will be a designated children's area, so don't leave the kids at home! Parking will be available at Westmoreland shopping center, Baton Rouge High, and designated neighborhood lots as well as a monitored bicycle parking area for those who prefer to pedal. For more info, visit ogdenparkprowl.org. 1 pm–5 pm. Purchases are all tax-free, by the way.
