Planetarium Month at LASM

The Louisiana Art & Science Museum celebrates Planetarium Month with several activity-packed days utilizing the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium this May: 

  • May 2: Wildflowers Sound Bath—An immersive meditation under the stars, concluding with a special showing of Sunset Meditation. 6 pm. $30; $15 for children.
  • May 7: Navigating the Cosmos Debut—A premiere of Navigating the Cosmos, a brand-new fulldome experience and an original LASM production. Noon. General admission.
  • May 9: World Belly Dance Day: The Time Traveler’s Veil—A fusion of dance and astronomy, featuring the Phoenix Rouge Dance Studio. 6 pm. $30; $15 for children. 
  • May 27 & 28: Concerts in the Cosmos: Divas—A multi-sensory adventure combining live music from the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and stunning visuals across land, sea, and space. 7:30 pm. $40–$60.
