Redneck Regatta

On the Tickfaw River, the eponymous rednecks will gather to race homemade boats of all degree of sophistication: from cardboard and duct taped contraptions to pirogues to a category called "Anything Goes." The boat show starts at 10 am at the public launch by Boopalu's (29669 Highway 22). Race begins at 1 pm with music, food, and fun throughout the day. For details, call (225) 907-7270.
