Revolutionary War Living History: 1779 Battle of Baton Rouge

Step into 1779 with a special event at Audubon Oakley House, that brings to life the exciting history of the 1779 Battle of Baton Rouge that took place in the Revolutionary War in time for the 242nd anniversary of the battle, which was the largest in the Revolutionary War in the far west British Colonies. The battle will be commemorated with a day of living history activities, including weapons demonstrations, open hearth cooking and craft demonstrations, and more. 10 am–4 pm. Admission for the Oakley House Tour and Grounds is $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens (age sixty two and over), $6 for children (age four–seventeen), and free for those age four and under.
