Rocket Crafting Workshop & Community Launch Day
Main Branch Library 7711 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70806
Space heads of all ages are invited to the Main Library at Goodwood for a rocket-building workshop. It's been fifty years since the Apollo 11 launch, so by now we really know what we're doing. And don't worry, all of your building materials (paper) will be provided. There will also be opportunities to learn about the NASA Apollo Program and to watch original footage of the Apollo 11 launch.
Workshops will be held on Thursday, July 11 from 3 pm–5 pm and on Tuesday, July 16 from 10 am–noon. Then be sure to return for the Community Rocket Launch on Tuesday, July 16 at noon, when each rocket will be launched simultaneously in hopes of setting a record with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
