Scent Blending Workshop with Xodo Botanicals

Once you've steeped yourself visually in the mystical historical memories of Louisiana through the New Orleans Museum of Art's exhibition Inventing Acadia, take your sensory experience to the next level. Join scent specialist Jane Bleecker of Xodo Botanicals and visual artist Hannah Chalew (read our profile on her, here) in a hands-on scent-blending workshop. Working with essential oils, native raw materials, and various other fragrance ingredients, learn to blend custom scents for personal use, as well as how to interpret the ways scent informs memory and association, particularly pertaining to Louisiana history and the changing landscape of the Gulf South.
