Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition: Water/Ways

The Bayou Teche Museum is excited to welcome a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian called Water/Ways, which explores the ways water impacts our world, environmentally, culturally, and historically. The Bayou Teche Museum will also host, either virtually or in-person, weekly programming that will include both an adult and children’s bookclub, "Water in Artistry" featuring area artists, a discussion on "Water in Religion," a screening of the movie Deepwater Horizon, a presentation on "Water in Poetry" featuring two Louisiana Poet Laureates and other local poets, and presentations by the Port of Delcambre and the Teche Project.
