State of the Arts Symposium 2025

It's a meeting of the artistic minds in the heart of Acadiana. Held at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the day promises a gathering of leaders from all walks of life, including government, business, education, and the arts, to discuss how to strengthen Lafayette Parish's cultural infrastructure. The event encourages artists and arts-lovers to gather and share perspectives on how to elevate the arts sector in Lafayette and its surrounding region. This year, before the main symposium, artists are invited from 10 am–noon to an Artist's Plenary and Roundtable discussion hosted by local artist Aileen Bennet—during which participants can share challenges and opportunities they've encountered as artists in this area. Main Symposium takes place from 2 pm–6 pm.
