According to the traditions of the Canadian Algonquin tribes, June's full moon signaled a season of ripened fruit, a season of harvest. Thus, June's bright moon became known as the Strawberry Moon. 

Join Pack & Paddle this Saturday for a moonsoaked night on Lake Martin, using the pale light to navigate the cypress forests along its edges. Hear the lake come alive with its nocturnal occupants, as you kayak or canoe through rippling reflections of the evening stars. 

Afterwards, enjoy a special supper on the banks with your new paddle buddies. Meets at Pack & Paddle at 4:30 pm, and lasts about three hours. $50 per person includes canoes, kayaks, paddles, life jackets, supper, and guides.
