The documentary Take Me to the River follows multiple generations of award-winning Memphis and Mississippi Delta musicians through the creative process of recording a historic new album, to re-imagine the utopia of racial, gender and generational collaboration of Memphis in its heyday. Now a live production of the same name comes to the Manship Theatre, when Charlie Musselwhite, Bobby Rush, William Bell, Frayser Boy, Al Kapone, The Hi Rhythm Section and the Stax Alumni Band appear on the main stage. 7:30 pm. $60–$75. manshiptheatre.org.
