Louisiana Philharmonic, with guest conductor Karina Canellakis, presents an evening teeming with drama and a touch of maritime danger. From Mendelssohn's Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, to Strauss'  heroic Horn Concerto No.1, played by the LPO’s Principal Hornist, Mollie Pate, to the closing Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, “Pathétique,” the orchestra will wend its way through Romantic greats. 7:30 pm, Thursday & Saturday, at the Orpheum Theatre.
