Louisiana's Poet Laureate Mona Lisa Saloy will guide young poets in a workshop to stimulate their creativity and lead them to crafting original poems at the Opelousas Library. There will be a reading that evening at the Opelousas Museum for students to present their work, alongside a conversation with Saloy. Workshop from 10 am–11:30 am, Reading and Conversation from 5 pm–7pm. Preregistration for the workshop required by calling (337) 948-3693.
