LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts 4230 Dalrymple Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70803
As LSU's Lab Theatre Season kicks off, be sure to catch The R and J Project, which follows Alex Washington, who takes over the New Life Baptist Church production of Romeo and Juliet after her mentor's death. The show, performed at the Studio Theatre at LSU's Music & Dramatic Arts Building, explores communication challenges between generations using the text of one of Shakespeare's most famous plays, eventually leading the (fictional) young actors in the production to find their own voices. 7:30 pm. $12; $9 for students. lsu.edu/cmda.
