Timothy Duffy: Blue Muse
to
New Orleans Museum of Art 1 Collins C. Diboll Circle, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124
The time is gone and the people nearly are, too: Timothy Duffy's work to preserve the faces of American roots music will be on display at the New Orleans Museum of Art this spring in the form of thirty original tintype portraits. Musicians such as Alabama Slim, Little Freddie King, and Pat "Mother Blues" Cohen are haunting and nearly holographic. The exhibit, "Blue Muse," extends from the museum into an outdoor installation in which enormous images of Duffy's work will be installed on buildings around the city. noma.org.
