Unveiling of "Equal Pay for Equal Work" Mural

Join The Walls Project in Baton Rouge this Thursday in a call to action to our justice system in addressing gender inequality in the workplace, particularly in our state's ranking as the lowest in the country for gender-based pay equity. For every dollar a man makes in Louisiana, a white woman makes $0.69, while an African American woman makes $0.48, and a Latina makes $0.52. Created by Baton Rouge artist Ellen Ogden, the mural is called "Equal Pay for Equal Work," and will adorn the MAPP Construction building in Downtown Baton Rouge.
