Warrior Dash
Run for Fun
Harrison County Fairgrounds 15321 County Farm Road, Gulfport, Mississippi 39503
Described as "a mud-crawling, fire-leaping, extreme run from hell," the rugged Warrior Dash ends in beer and warrior helmets, so it just might be worth any (minor?) scrapes and burns along the way. For this race, battle will be joined at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Gulfport, forcing participants to climb hay bales and cargo nets, crawl through tunnels, stampede through a junkyard, maneuver through unchartered forest and waist-high swamp water, slither under barbed wire and through a mud pit, and leap over fires. You know, warrior stuff. The obstacle-ridden race course is just over three miles long.
The first wave of warriors will be released into the wild at 9 am. Registration is $75 after September 28 ($90 on the day of the race) and includes a warrior helmet, t-shirt, and medal. If you're up for the challenge, visit warriordash.com for all the registration details.
