Acadian Culture Day Bus Trip

In conjunction with the current exhibit Water Trails of the Atchafalaya, on display until October 29, the West Baton Rouge Museum is inviting patrons to hit the road. A charter bus excursion to Cajun Country will depart the museum on the morning of August 13 and return by sunset. Planned activities include lunch at the famed Pat's Fisherman's Wharf in Henderson followed by a visit to Vermilionville's Historic Village in Lafayette for the annual Acadian Culture Day celebration, featuring live music, cooking and historic craft demonstrations, and optional boat tours. For a little lagniappe on the way home, the bus will stop at Whiskey River Landing Live Cajun & Zydeco Music Dance Hall in Henderson to kick up heels and pound a few floorboards. Must be 21 or older to participate.
