Exploring the history of wartime railroads in America, Wheels of War highlights the necessity for the military to have a consistently dependable and fast railroad throughout history. On display at the USS Kidd Veterans Museum this winter, this exhibit was developed by the Union Pacific Railroad Museum. It will also highlight the history of the Camp Claiborne to Camp Polk military railroad in Central Louisiana, which was used to train Army Railroad Operating Battalions and Engineering Battalions, as well as for experiments to determine the means necessary to derail enemy trains.
