When it premiered in 2012, A&E’s smash hit reality television show Duck Dynasty introduced the world to the behind-the-scenes lives of a new kind of tycoon: the redneck millionaire. The Robertson family’s escapades quickly gained them a near-cult following for their charming portrayal of life in the rural South, defined particularly by its hunting culture and strong community ties. The (iconically bearded) cast—including tea-loving Uncle Si, the entrepreneurial family man Willie, and the beloved Miss Kay—were unique, standing proudly separate from the other characters of the urban-focused reality television landscape.
But one of the show’s most iconic characters was the setting itself: Monroe-West Monroe.
Visitors to Ouachita Parish will find themselves immersed in the same Southern community that the Robertsons still call home to this day. You might grab a coffee at Corner Coffee & Provisions, where Jase once requested “the strongest thing they got.” You can cool down at Debbie’s Snowballs, compete in a donut-eating contest at Haskell’s Donuts (try beating Uncle Si’s record of thirty-two), or learn about the origins of the jackalope at McGough’s Taxidermy.

The show has filmed on-location at dozens of spots throughout the Twin Cities—you can hardly turn a corner without stepping into the shadow of the Robertsons. But no tour is complete without a visit to the Duck Commander Warehouse itself, still an active family business that sells some of the finest custom duck calls in the country. Shop the inventory, buy some merch, and take advantage of the photo ops. While you’re there, be sure to wander through the onsite Duck Commander Museum, which features fifteen galleries of family artifacts, photographs, set recreations, and more.
Seven years after the show’s finale, Duck Dynasty returned to A&E this summer with its new Revival series, which focuses on Willie and Korie navigating a new era for their business, Duck Commander, and for their family. Stream the latest episodes at Hulu, or at aetv.com.
