Dynamic animal behaviors at Global Wildlife Center and brisk temperatures aren’t the only reasons to celebrate the fall season. Holiday adventures abound with a host of new and familiar festivities to look forward to.
Wildly Spook-tacular Costume Party and Trunk or Treat at Global Wildlife Center
Saturday, October 19, 5 pm–8 pm.
Global Wildlife Center is hosting a Wildly Spook-tacular Costume Party, encouraging revelers to compete for Best Group Costume, Wildest Costume, Most Creative Costume, Cutest Costume and more! Guests are invited to make their own scarecrow at home for the Scarecrow Making Contest, and children will love Halloween-themed activities like the Corn Pit and series of Spooky Stations. To attend, purchase tickets online at globalwildlife.com. Children under 14 who register for Trunk or Treat ($10) will receive a special themed bag to collect treats. Adults can join in for $5 and Global Wildlife Members for free. Tickets available online and at the door.
At the Visitor Center, the Tours team, Animal Care team and other Global Wildlife Center staff will be vying to see who can be most creative with their decoration of the park’s 4x4 Pinzgauers, and doling out Halloween treats by the handful. Visitors are encouraged to decorate their own vehicle and participate in Trunk or Treat by registering online at GlobalWildlife.com (Limited availability)

National STEM Day Celebration at Global Wildlife Center
Friday, November 8, 9 am–1 pm
Global Wildlife Center’s educational safaris led by naturalist guides are a chance for children to learn through touch during field trips while they get eye-to-eye with a giraffe, or feel the woolly fur of a bison. Participating in the national celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Global Wildlife Center Visitor Center will host the Northshore Brain Food Truck and various other interactive learning opportunities for students studying these disciplines. Teachers are invited to book a safari field trip by contacting frontdesk@globalwildlife.com; or filling out a field trip reservation form at globalwildlife.com/field-trips. Admission to the Visitor Center is free.
Fall Fest is a wonderful event for members and guests of Global Wildlife Center.
Fall Fest at Global Wildlife Center

Cheerful pumpkins all around the Visitor Center announce Global Wildlife Center’s festival of fall activities. Comforting hot chocolate and chili, roast-your-own S’mores, hay find, corn pit, pumpkin bowling and autumn arts and crafts are among the activities available to Global Wildlife Members for free (non-members can purchase tickets at globalwildlife.com). Those who book safari tours before Fall Fest will find the preserve’s animals to be as excited as they are about the “Pumpkin Smash,” which invites guests to chunk pumpkins over the side of their safari wagons to be devoured by African Cape Eland antelope, American bison, European red deer and Grant’s zebras. North Pole Express Safari

It’s “all aboard” for a festive North Pole Express Safari at Global Wildlife Center! Guests get to hobnob with Santa and Mrs. Claus and pose for a free photo, meet and greet Santa’s elves and snap a selfie by Global’s giant Christmas tree at the Visitor Center. Children will receive a Believer’s Bell and Golden Ticket with any purchase of a Safari Wagon or Private Pinz tour on North Pole Express days. Safaris will be led by the Conductor and Santa’s elves and there is snow in the forecast! Book at globalwildlife.com
