So Labor Day is about the time it usually hits me the hardest: Heat and humidity fatigue. And while points north are about to usher in fall, it’s still a couple months away in the South. So I was most pleased to discover this morning that United is offering a dirt cheap $150 round trip fare from New Orleans to Boston on select dates, that can be used for a weeklong escape with Labor Day in the middle. And while cooler temps aren’t guaranteed, they are a lot more likely there. This fare is leaving mid-week before the Labor Day weekend and returning mid-week after—which gives you time to walk the Freedom Trail, take a ferry to Cape Cod, or rent a car to discover the Walden Pond for yourself.
