It was like running across an old friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. There I was searching for a rental car for an upcoming trip to a family wedding, and wasn’t happy with the rates I was finding. Somewhere during my exhausting online comparison of various coupon deals and affinity discounts, those clever ad generating computers served up a link to AutoSlash.com, which despite the somewhat alarming name is a superb service, that I first used years ago. It automates the search for coupons and discounts, then sends you a quote. But the service has actually just begun at that point, because it stays on the lookout for any deal that might pop up that’s better than the first quote. Pretty cool, eh? On a couple of occasions I’ve managed to beat their deal if I was in the mood to really dig, but this time it beat me. And was a lot less work.
