Andy Warhol’s hometown is one of the great rustbelt-city transformation stories in America, which makes it a great place to visit, even if you aren’t a Warhol fan. But if you are, the Andy Warhol Museum, one of the four Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, includes thousands of his works as well as archives of Warhol's papers and other materials from his estate, including the source materials for his art and some of his personal collection of thousands of collectibles, books, and ephemera. The list of holdings goes on and on. The New York Times packed a bunch of other options for a long weekend in Pittsburgh in an article HERE.

The good news for us is that Allegiant Air now flies to Pittsburgh nonstop from New Orleans with fares starting as low as $78 roundtrip. There’s a handy low-fare calendar to help you choose the best days to fly cheap.
