Stumble upon secondhand treasures at over a hundred sales across Breaux Bridge.
So if you like one great garage sale, how ‘bout hopping across dozens in one day? Breaux Bridge’s 14th annual Citywide Garage Sale kicks off at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 4, and runs through Saturday, October 5. Saturday features an outdoor flea market at the Farmers Merchants Bank & Trust Company parking lot in the heart of downtown Breaux Bridge and another flea market at Parc Hardy, sponsored by the Breaux Bridge Civic Club.
With over 100 concurrent sales in the surrounding area over two days, this is the time to finally purge your closet and put that KonMari Method into practice, or shop secondhand in the hopes of discovering a new favorite vintage knickknack. Peruse collections of hodgepodge items from thousands of participants on all streets leading into town.
A listing map will be available leading up to the event for the more serious bargain hunters, but whether you’re an old pro or just in it for fun, you’re bound to come away with a well-deserved prize, or at the very least, a few good stories to tell about one of the most popular happenings in Breaux Bridge all year. Save up your energy on Saturday, though, for the weekly Cajun Jam at Tante Marie’s Restaurant, Bar & Cafe after the flea market’s end.
