Sweet Potato & Goat Cheese Grits
A decadent side for every season (but especially during hunting season)

2 Small Baked Sweet Potatoes
1 Cup Stone Ground Grits
1 ½ Cups Milk
1 ½ Cups Venison Stock
½ Tbsp Salt
½ Tbsp. White Pepper
1 Tbsp. Hot Sauce
4 Oz. Goat Cheese
1 Pinch Cayenne (optional)
Instructions:
- Bring the milk and stock to a boil in a medium pot, then season with the salt and white pepper.
- Once the liquid is boiling, add the grits and reduce the heat to simmer.
- Simmer the grits for 25-30 minutes until thick and creamy. In the last 5 minutes, stir in the hot sauce, sweet potatoes, and goat cheese until smooth.
- Serve hot. Enjoy!
