A Taste of the Opera at the French Market

For a bit of outdoor opera in the French Quarter, join the New Orleans Opera Association as they present their A Taste of the Opera at the French Market series. A preview of sorts, the performances will include selections from the 2017-2018 opera season, as sung by seasoned performers cast in those productions. This season's operas include Maria de Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla and Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques Offenbach. Some tables and chairs are provided, but arrive early to claim a seat or bring your own, if preferred. Concerts from 2 pm–3 pm on September 3, 17, and 24. neworleansopera.org.
