Abita Springs Opry

The Abita Springs Opry is devoted to preserving Louisiana's indigenous music in all its guises. Arrive early (around 5 pm-ish) and join the folks who've made a ritual of enjoying gumbo, hot dogs, and homemade pastries, not to mention the pre-show sound checks and front porch concerts. It all adds up to the good ol' family atmosphere that the Opry strives for. This month, the lineup includes Three Rivers Coopperative, Deep N Blue, Jonno Frishburn and Bayou Deville, and the Shotgun Jazz Band. 7 pm–9 pm. $20. abitaopry.org.
